Cake Bakery Cake Baking Cross Stitch Pattern

This Cake Baking pattern is a quick and fun cross stitch pattern to stitch. It is reminiscent of cute cake pans, glass cake plates, canisters, spatulas and wonderful little things that are necessary for stirring up cake batter and then pouring it into a cake pan and baking it!

Simple to stitch. The design area is approximately 4 1/2" x 4 1/2". The edges are folded under and rick rack is glued on. The finished piece is then glued to the front of a basket. I went into a thrift store looking for baskets to glue finished cross stitched designs onto. I thought this basket was perfect and it cost $1.99 so it was a win win!

The only thing I would do different, look closely, there is a cute stitched cake plate under the chocolate cross stitched cake, and you can hardly see it, because the stitching is white. So I think if I had it to do over again, I would stitch the cake plate and cake dome using a very pale gray so the stitching would show up. By the time I was done, and gluing it to the basket, I thought "I should re do this" but the glue was drying...
